Imran Khan Demands Ex CJ #IftikharChaudhry's trial under Article 6 آرٹیکل 6 کے تحت سابق چیف جسٹس افتخار چوہدری کے خلاف مقدمہ چلا یا جائے ۔ عمران خان

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan suggested trial of former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry under Article 6 for rigging in general elections of 2013.

In an interview with a private TV channel on Sunday, Imran Khan said complete investigation about the rigging in the elections should be conducted. The PTI chairman said he is very disappointed with former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry as he wanted to hide the truth.

Imran said there was not any record of 100,000 and 90,000 votes. Those, who steal democracy, are actually stealing future of the country,” he added.

INP adds: Imran Khan has said that organizing protests is their constitutional and democratic right and no one can stop them from it. He said they want to put the democracy back on the track and strengthen it through the Islamabad protest on 11th of May.

In another interview, the PTI chief alleged that the government was shy of holding inquiry into rigging of elections from the day one. He said after having failed to get justice from election commission and other institutions they were left with no option but to come on the roads.

He said PTI has always talked of strengthening the democracy and state institutions and the 11th May protest movement is aimed at exposing those who usurped people's mandate through rigging. He vowed to continue protests till those involved in rigging were not made accountable.

Imran Khan said unless and until the elections are completely free and transparent, real democracy cannot be imagined in the country.

In reply to a question, Imran Khan said biggest danger to the present government is its own failed policies. He was of the view that despite one year in office, the government could not resolve a single issue.
