May 30, 2014: #Ufone, after successfully launching its 3G free trial in major cities likes Lahore, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Karachi, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan and Sialkot, is now offering this service in Quetta, the biggest city of Balochistan province. With the introduction of its 3G services, Ufone has now become the widest network of Pakistan providing 3G in 10 cities across the nation, which is more than any of the other telcos so far, having Mobilink in the 2nd.
According to IM, Ufone had to spread its 3G services in 10 cities in a span of 1 year but Ufone has achieved this target only in 35 days. Ufone being the pioneer in launching its 3G services plans to expand its network in more areas in Pakistan soon.
Speaking of this facility, Mr Taimur Faiz Cheema, GM Marketing at Ufone, said “Ufone right now is the only service provider that is giving maximum number of cities and with the best speed and network quality. Needless to say, customers have a lot to look forward to as 3G will completely change the way customers interact and socialize. We have exciting plans of expansion and will be introducing services far and wide across Pakistan.”
All Ufone customers using a 3G enabled smartphone, will be able to enjoy the trial services with amazing speeds free of cost, whereby the first 200 MB will be usable without any speed throttling, after that for subsequent usage, speed will be reduced to 128 kbps for the rest of the day followed by a related SMS notification. In addition, the policy will be auto-renewed every day.
To avail the offer, Ufone customers will have to restart their handsets or change the network mode from GSM to WCDMA or from 2G to 3G in other words, depending upon their handset model and type. An SMS notification will be sent to all subscribers to inform them regarding the 3G service activation.
Both Postpaid and prepaid customers will be able to avail the offer and enjoy free of cost usage of the 3G trial for a limited period.
