Karachi (PR) Green Crescent Trust (GCT) & Dynatis Pharma, an associated company of Indus Pharma, organizes an art competition for the underprivileged children in a local hotel.
Students from Green Crescent Trust’s schools enthusiastically participated in the competition. More than 400 entries were received that were reviewed by a panel judges and finalists were awarded cash prizes in four different categories. Judges panel included prominent names in the field of art namely – Ms. Rabia Zuberi, Ms. Riffat Alvi, Ms. Nahid Raza and Ms. Meher Afroz.
Judges were impressed by the artwork of children and encouraged the organizers to continue holding such events for the encouragement of children’s creative skills. “While reviewing the artwork, we ourselves learned a lot from impressive artwork done by children.” recalled one of the judges, Ms Riffat Alvi.
Senior Minister Nisar Ahmed Khoro was the Chief Guest for the event. Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the creative skills shown by the students.
Mr. Zahid Saeed, MD Indus Pharma speaking on the occasion highlighted the importance of education and the blessing Pakistan has in the shape of large young population if properly educated could become an asset for the country. He urged the all the corporates and individuals to invest their resources for the betterment of education in the country.
GCT is a registered nonprofit that started operations back in 1995 with the start of 1 school and 65 students. Now GCT has a network of 95 schools in marginalized areas of Sindh where more than 14,500 deserving children are getting education.
The event was a part of Dynatis Pharma and Indus Pharma CSR activity that both companies regularly undertakes in the field of education, health and sports.
