KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former interior minister Rehman Malik said on Saturday that Zaliman ( a term he uses for Taliban) can only be dealt with an operation against them, adding that a group which cannot remain loyal to its leadership cannot be trusted.
Speaking to media on Karachi airport, Rehman Malik said that dialougues can be held with Taliban if they are serious, but he has time and again said that government and agencies have shown seriousness in the process but Taliban are not, adding that such elements can are anti-state and can only be dealt with an iron fist.
Malik condemned what he called an unjust act by current government to start all projects in Punjab, neglecting Sindh and Karachi.
He lamented that during PPP rule, then CJP Iftikhar Chaudhry will take suo motu action over slightest irregularity while there is no such judicial activism in current PML-N government and they are not being held accountable.
Malik also blamed India for interfering in Balochistan and took Pakistan’s PM Nawaz Sharif for not raising up the issue in his recent visit to India. (NewsTribe)
