Multan, 23 July 2014: In-line with its commitment to promoting active and healthy lifestyle and youth development, Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited (CCBPL), is organizing the first Coca-Cola Football League in Multan. The league will run from 1st to 14th August, 2014 at the Sports Ground, Multan.
It was shared on Tuesday at a press conference held to announce the Coca-Cola Football League at the Ramada Multan, which was attended by over 50 media representatives and dignitaries from all walks of life.
Speaking on the occasion Director Public Affairs and Communication at CCBPL Zafar Abbas Jafri said, “Promoting an active and healthy lifestyle is a priority for Coca-Cola globally, and we want to ensure that our youth benefits from this initiative in Pakistan. Through this league, we will encourage the youth of Pakistan to appreciate the competitive spirit of football and team spirit.”
CCBPL has already been working on football in Karachi and plans to take this initiative to other parts of the country as well.
A total of 32 teams will participate in the league from different parts of the country during a two-week period. The tournament will come to an end on Independence Day where the final match will be followed by a closing event. PR
