10 terrorists killed in NWA airstrikes
Security forces on Monday killed as many as 10 terrorists and also destroyed five explosives-laden vehicles in North Waziristan Agency (NWA), an ISPR statement read.
During the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb, army jets and gunship helicopters pounded terrorist hideouts in NWA. The press release read further the fighter jets destroyed five explosives-laden vehicles and landmine reserves. Due to the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb, tribal people have left NWA and settled in Bannu and other cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), some 62,251 families have left NWA. The army said on Wednesday it had killed more than 900 terrorists and lost 82 soldiers since the start of the operation in June.
