Teams that participated in the tournament included, Kinnaird College, Lahore College University Women’s Cricket Club, Fatima Jinnah Women’s Cricket Club, Saif Saga Women’s Cricket Club and Allah Janta Hai Women’s Cricket. The chief guest of the event was Mr.AmerAman Khan who is currently the Head of Sales at Warid Telecom.
“I believe that education is an integral part of an individual’s life andsports isjust as essential, so along with promoting education, corporates in the country should also promote sports. In my opinion, we should create more and more avenues to encourage women in the field of sports”,
commented Mr. Khan in his speech in the closing ceremony. Warid further encouraged the cause and contributed Rs. 225,000 as a college endowment fund which was handed over to the college management and to 10 deserving students by Mr. AmerAmanKhan.Apart from handing over the endowment fund, Mr. Khan also awarded cash/ cheques to the best performers of the cricket tournament.Warid also ensured all arrangements were in place, including player kits, cricket balls, trophies,branding, etc.
