#Mobilink Foundation provides relief to heatwave victims

KARACHI: The Mobilink Foundation took an initiative to assist the government in providing relief to the victims of severe heatwave, which scoured Karachi and its neighbouring localities in the past week.

Mobilink’s heatwave relief activity came to a completion with planned distribution of relief by its team at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital Karachi, Qatar Hospital Karachi, Shah Bhitai Hospital Hyderabad and Civil Hospital Hyderabad.

Mobilink Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility Senior Manager Farooq Niaz said, “Our Mobilink torchbearers assisted more than 3,300 people throughout Karachi and Hyderabad in the last week of June, most of them were heatstroke victims without adequate medical facilities due to overcrowding in all the hospitals.”

The heatwave relief activity saw Mobilink team distribute a total of 10,000 bottles of mineral water, 6,000 boxes of juice, 4,000 ice packs, 4,000 hand sized towels and 40 cooling water fans amongst heatstroke patients, their families and administration staff at the hospitals. PR
