Karachi: ‘There is no dearth of talent in this country, all our youth needs is some direction, guidance and leadership,’ said Zulfiqar Ali Ansari, Head of Marketing at EBM, announcingEBM’s support for SOL’s annual Young Leaders Conference.
Pakistan’s leading biscuit manufacturing company, English Biscuit Manufacturers (Pvt.) Limited (EBM), has been a founding partner of SOL’s premiere annual event, the Young Leaders Conference (YLC)for 13 consecutive years now. This six day rigorous activity-based event is scheduled to commence on August 11, 2015 in Islamabad. This year’s theme, ‘Regeneration’, is planned in accordance with the need of the hour as far as the progress of youth is concerned. The aim is to incline thought processes towards unorthodox careers to encourage distinctive thinking in participants so that they progress beyond their comfort zones.
Ansari further added,

We have supported several youth programs previously as well considering youth empowerment being an essential criterion for any nation’s progress. Through EBM’s support, 30 young individuals have been selected from across Pakistan to participate in this leadership training program. The conference features panel discussions, team sessions, skill development, creative exploration, attitude and interpersonal training and learning. This year’s YLC also features previously untapped, critical issues such as gender disparity, renewable fuels and environmental change, and proliferation of arms and ammunition to flag their importance and foster analytical thinking in these future leaders.
