THE world’s oldest married couple are celebrating their 90th wedding anniversary today.
Karam and Kartari Chand – aged 110 and 103 – tied the knot in 1925.
They pair, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, have eight children, 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Karam said: "It is a blessing to have been married and to have lived this long. Life and marriage is all about happiness, it is what is most important.
"We are happy to have been able to enjoy this day with our family. Occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays see our family come together and that makes us very happy."
The couple got married in a Sikh ceremony in India when the country was still under British rule.
They moved to the UK 40 years later and last month enjoyed a joint birthday celebration with family and friends from around the world.

Karam and Kartari live with their youngest son Paul, his wife and two of their four children.
Paul says the secret to a happy marriage like his parents' is not to argue.

He said: "If I knew they would have lived to have a 90th anniversary, then I might have put a bet on it.
"We are all very proud of them. Every day we get to spend with them is a bonus and I can only hope that this continues.
"I would like to advise people to appreciate the time they have with their parents and to look after them, as once they are gone, they are gone.
"Marriage is all about compromise and I believe my parents have had such a long marriage because they have had a happy and stressfree one.
“In all my years with them, I have never seen them argue and not once have I seen them become angry with each other. I believe that is their secret."
