ISLAMABAD: Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has decided to boost the handi-craft work of its beneficiaries through the E-Commerce.
An official told APP here Friday that recently a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between BISP, Aik Hunar Aik Nagar (AHAN) and TCS for promoting handicraft skills of BISP beneficiaries and provision of better access to their products in the national and international markets.
He said that in this regard, Minister of State and Chairperson BISP MNA Marvi Memon was visiting different districts of the country to create the awareness among the beneficiaries and promoting their handi-craft work at the international level.
Local handicraft and embroidered products would be showcased in international market to enable women to earn their livelihood in a better manner, he added.
He said that through this programme beneficiaries could easily earn a handsome amount at their homes online.
Federal government was committed to address all the issue of women and promote the empowerment among them, besides focusing on the education and health of women.
