QUETTA: Fourteen passengers were killed and 29 others sustained injures in road disaster in Saman area some 40 kilometers from Kahuzdar city on Monday.
According to the details a passenger coach was on way from Karachi to Quetta overturned in Saman area near Wadh in Khuzdar District.
All the 11 passengers were killed on the spot and 29 others sustained injures. “The cause of the accident is over speeding,” sources said. Assistant Commissioner Shabir Ahmed Badini said the passenger bus was over speeding when it tried to take a turn in Saman area it went down 20 feet deep killing 11 passengers on the spot.
Dr Moshin in Khuzdar hospital has said around 11 people were dead in accident and more than 25 others sustained injures.
According to the rescue team around 12 people killed in road accident.
The deceased and injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital Khuzdar for treatment. The emergency was declared in the hospital. The Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Alam Faraz rushed to the hospital and monitored the situation.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Wassy from Pishin, Abdul Zahir, Mohammad Faiz, Niaz Ahmed From Khuzdar, Mehsood Khan, Sanaullah, Mohammad Imran from Karachi, Abdul Hadi from Musa Khel, Maqsood Khan from Tahta, Mohammad Hussain from Lasbela,
The residents of Khuzdar questioned the Highway Police role in RCD highway for not taking any action on over speeding over leading in national highway where major accidents are reported as a matter of routine. (Balochistan Express)
