Afghanistan: Indian woman kidnapped in Kabul, efforts on to rescue her

An Indian woman has been abducted in Kabul in Afghanistan, government sources told the Press Trust of India. The woman was identified as Judith D’Souza, who hails from Kolkata and works with the Aga Khan Foundation. She was abducted Thursday night.

Sources added that all efforts are being made by the authorities in Afghanistan to ensure her release, the agency said.

The Indian embassy in Kabul is in touch with senior Afghan officials as well as with the family of the abducted woman. HT
