Vivo V7 Plus With 24 mp Selfie Camera Officially Launched in Pakistan

At an event in Lahore yesterday, Vivo – a Chinese mobile company – launched their V7+, a midrange smartphone in Pakistan.

Despite the midrange tag, V7+ offers top notch performance with a premium build and some unique features.

Design and display

With an all-metal body and antenna lines running on the top and bottom edge, the V7+ follows the mainstream trends in smartphones. The back has a really fast fingerprint sensor – unlocking the phone in just 0.2s – but unfortunately no dual-cameras.

It features a 5.99-inch “Full view” display, an 84.4% Screen to body ratio (according to Vivo at least). Following newest trend of “bezel-less” phones out there, it has an 18:9 aspect ratio albeit with a lower resolution (1440×720). The 2.15 mm narrow bezels give a better sense of immersion so that’s a plus.

Internals and Storage
It is strictly mid-range and packed with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 with 4 GB RAM. Internal storage is 64 GB which can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot. Unusually, the phone is Dual-SIM by default.

The V7+ runs Android 7.1 Nougat with the Funtouch OS 3.2 on top – a custom UI designed by Vivo for their smartphones.

Camera, Battery, and Price
The primary camera is a 16 MP shooter paired with software that can capture 64-megapixel Ultra HD photos. It also has Phase Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF).

The front camera is the main highlight on Vivo V7+ with a 24 MP sensor.

The V7+ has a 3,225mAh battery. Paired with a low power SoC and a low-resolution display this phone can get you through a couple of days of use on average.

Vivo V7+ will set you back by Rs. 36,000, which is kind of overpriced for the specs it offers.
