TEVTA’s driving course to be conducted in five districts

LAHORE (WebDesk) Chairman Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Irfan Qaiser Sheikh has said that TEVTA has decided to extend the facility of free driving learning course to five districts of Punjab. 


While addressing the meeting of TEVTA’s Core Committee here on Thursday, Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that TEVTA started free driving course in Lahore in collaboration with Lahore City Traffic Police few months ago which received marvelous response from people belonging to all age groups. Therefore, after succession of pilot project, now TEVTA has decided to extend the project to five other district of Punjab province which includes Rawalpindi, Multan, Chiniot, Attock and Faisalabad. He also said that in Lahore youngsters especially females took admission more than males and among these females majority students were house wives. He also revealed that TEVTA has also plan to start specialize car and scooter driving courses for females which would be a landmark for the women of Punjab. 

Irfan Qaiser Sheikh further observed that another course which TEVTA will start soon as pilot project is of English Language and Personality Grooming. Initially this course will be started from Lahore and once it will be successful, the course will be extended to further more district of province, he added. 

Chairman TEVTA also sought report regarding the courses, districts and colleges where enrollment ratio remained lower than 98 percent. He also ordered for every measure to be taken for improving enrollment.
