CHITRAL: The grade-IV employees of government departments have staged a protest rally in support of their demands in Drosh town of Chitral. The protest rally led by Muhammad Qasim, the president of class-IV employees commenced at Drosh Gol and marched towards the Markazi Chowk in Drosh bazar which was attended by a large number of grade IV staff.
The protestors held banners and chanted slogans against the government demanding provincial government to increase their salaries, provision of allowance, increase of time-scale and to approve the chartered of demand.
In this regard, Qasim said that the government need to increase the time-scale the same way as the promotions of other doctors, paramedics and nurses are taken. Qasim also stressed the government to grant them the same plots in different government residential schemes on installment like they give to others. “The low grade drivers should be given same perks like time allowance and incentives as given to secretariat employees,” said Qasim, adding that they also seek 200% increment on medical, conveyance and rent allowance.
However the class-IV staff headed toward the Provincial Assembly in Peshawar following their protest and threatened the government to listen to their reservations or the protest will be continued.
