Chitral road accident - One Chines mine engineer died two saved in an accident in Mastuj

CHITRAL (By Gul Hammaad Farooqi) As well as one Chines Mine expert (engineer) drowned in River at  Mastuj  upper  Chitral and died on the spot while two other survived Miraculously. According to SHO police station Mastuj  Three Chinese men working for a private mining company were crossing a wooden bridge which was in very dilapidated condition at Chamrkun goal nullah. The wood broken and they  fell down  into the river Gol area of upper Chitral

A Chinese engineer has drown after falling into a river near Mastuj in upper Chitral, sources scribe.

Mastuj police told that , three Chinese engineers working for a Peshawar-based mining company fell into a river in Chapari Chumarkan, Gol area on when a bridge they were walking on broke down.

Two Chinese identified as Jiangbao and Lee Quan were rescued while their colleague identified as Yu Cheng drowned. His body was fished out of the river and handed over to the police.

According to sources they were going to Chapari Chumarkan in Gol area in search of minerals. as they were crossing the bridge it broke down and they fell into the gushing waters.

Dead body of the Chinese Engineer were rushed to Rural Health Center Mastuj for postmortem. Police told that according to law autopsy will be held during day light and it is not possible at night after sun set.

It is pertinent to note here that suspension wooden bridges at Chitral are in very dilapidated condition and their condition is more worsen. Some wooden bridges existing here since 1917 of British period but they were never replaced in RCC one or proper maintenance held.

It is worth to mention here that in the year 2005 one Koran engineer had died at Ziarat nullah during flood.
