The first-ever Digital City in Pakistan is being built in Haripur - KP Government Inviting Investors

The first-ever Digital City in Pakistan is being initiated by PTI led KP Government on 160 Kanal of Land in Haripur and nearby areas of Islamabad (located behind the capital’s Margalla Hills). Special Assistant To PM for Digital Pakistan Tania Aidrus and Advisor To CM KP On ST&IT Zia Ullah Bangash visited the site of Pakistan Digital City in Haripur. Director KPITB briefed Zia Ullah Bangash and Tania Aidrus on the project plan and progress.

KP govt is inviting investors for Pakistan’s first Digital City being established at Haripur, to partake in the initiative. Pakistan Digital City would be a platform where a variety of businesses and tech corporations could operate. Zia Ullah Bangash while addressing the media said that Pakistan Digital City is one of the biggest project of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the IT sector, and KP government to make Haripur a digital city. Pakistan Digital City would provide the best environment for IT companies. International IT companies would also be invited to invest in Pakistan Digital City. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government had declared 2020 as the year of Digital Transformation. Such projects were needed for the development of IT sector in the province.

Tania Aidrus said that Pakistan Digital City project is a reflection of the Prime Minister’s Digital Pakistan vision, which would be a source of employment for the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. We are bringing Pakistan towards digitalization. She lauded the plans and efforts of the KP IT Board in supporting Digital Pakistan vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

– Software Houses

– Technology Incubators

– Electronic Manufacturers

– Mobile, Computer and Peripheral Manufacturers

– Communications Equipment Manufacturers.

– Semiconductor and other electronic Manufacturers

– Audio, Video and Wearable Device Manufacturers

– Business Process Outsourcing Firms and many others
