PUBG  Holding Mobile Global Championship 2021 With $6 Million Prize Pool

The largest prize pool in the history of mobile esports.

On the final day of PMWI 2021, PUBG Mobile Esports announced a Global Championship event with a $6 million prize pool.

According to the announcement, the event is scheduled to begin in November 2021 and finish in January 2022. PMGC, as per James Yang, Director of PUBG Mobile Esports, will be the largest esports event in the game's history. The PMGC will be contested by the top teams from the league stage and finals of the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) 2021 seasons. The top teams from the Regional Championships will also earn a chance to compete in the PMGC.

Tencent hasn't said whether or not the event would be held online. If the pandemic situation improves, the organization will attempt to hold the event offline. Since three players tested positive during the 2020 PUBG Mobile Global Championship, the corporation is likely to remain cautious. As a result, the players competed from the comfort of their hotel rooms. Even if Tencent hosts PMGC with stringent social distancing restrictions, the tournament would be fantastic since the best teams will compete for massive prize money.
