Nehaal Naseem is Spotify’s latest success of Fresh Finds Pakistan

The 17-year-old budding vocalist, Nehaal Naseem is the latest discovery of Spotify’s signature Fresh Finds Pakistan. With her debut track ‘Beqadra’ continuously appearing on Spotify Charts for the past 12 weeks, topping at no. 4, Nehaal, who was also the top artist of Fresh Finds PK in February, has joined an ever-growing list of up-and-coming musicians from the local scene.

After Abdul Hannan and Aleemrk, two of Pakistan’s freshest music sensations, Nehaal is the latest musician who has grabbed attention emerging from Fresh Finds PK, a fact highlighted by a staggering 2852% growth in her monthly listeners.

“Having joined Fresh Finds on February 13th with her melancholic song ‘Beqadra’, Nehaal has already accumulated over 2 million streams and counting. With Fresh Finds, we aim to discover voices that have potential and just need that extra push. Like other Fresh Finds discoveries, we supported Nehaal on various playlists. The track has also been curated in major playlists like Pakka Hit Hai, Pakistani Pop, Hot Hits Pakistan, Desi Indie, to name a few”- said Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify Senior Editor in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh.

In addition, Khan FM, Spotify's Artist & Label Partnerships Manager for Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, said, “The Fresh Finds playlist is becoming the best playlist to discover brand new artists from across Pakistan. We’ve seen artists like Abdul Hannan, Aleemrk and Zouqan do really well once their music gets discovered in Fresh Finds, and it’s no less for Nehaal Naseem. Well known music IP’s in Pakistan, as well as music labels, regularly eyeball the Fresh Finds playlist to discover new talent”.

Nehaal Naseem is not new to music as she has been churning out covers of famous tracks since she was a child. It may come as a surprise to many of her fans that she is the same 11 years old girl who went viral in 2016 after her video of singing the OST of the hit drama Mann Mayal grabbed the nation’s attention on social media.
