Sehat Kahani Makes History: First All-Female-Led Pakistani Company Raises $2.7M in Series-A Funding

In a groundbreaking milestone for Pakistan's startup landscape, Sehat Kahani, a pioneering health-tech startup led entirely by women, has successfully concluded a historic Series A funding round, securing $2.7 million. This achievement positions Sehat Kahani as the first all-female-led company in Pakistan to attain Series A funding. Amaanah Circle, a Singapore-based health tech fund led by Dr. Razi Yousuf, spearheads the funding, with key investors including Epic Angels, Cross Fund, USAID Investment Promotion Activity (IPA), Augmentor, Impact Investment Exchange (IIX), and the Elahi group of companies.

Founded by medical doctors Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram and Dr. Iffat Zafar Aga, Sehat Kahani utilizes innovative technology to facilitate seamless virtual connections between doctors and patients within 60 seconds. The platform offers on-demand at-home or on-premise laboratory services and online medicine delivery, catering to a diverse nationwide patient base, including B2B and B2C clients, as well as the underserved population in rural areas. The support from USAID has played a crucial role in Sehat Kahani's growth, fostering innovation and enabling impactful expansion in the dynamic Pakistani digital health landscape.

The funding marks a pivotal moment for Sehat Kahani, enabling the development of advanced features such as decision support systems, precision medicine tools, and predictive AI models. Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram expressed gratitude to investors and programs like Weraise for supporting the mission and championing female founders. Sehat Kahani extends its Corporate Application into a comprehensive OPD management solution, providing 24/7 hassle-free and cashless access to specialists, online medicine delivery, and efficient claims management for corporate employees and their families.

Dr. Iffat Zafar Aga highlighted Sehat Kahani's substantial year-on-year growth of 141% in the last three years, dispelling the myth that telemedicine was only beneficial during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company plans to expand its operations to other countries, taking Sehat Kahani global as the next step for expansion. With a global network of 7500+ healthcare professionals, serving 800+ corporations and 62 e-health clinics nationwide, Sehat Kahani aims to bridge healthcare gaps, empower women in medicine, and expand its global impact. Epic Angels, the largest female-only investor collective in the APAC region, sees Sehat Kahani as embodying impactful innovation and envisions it as a model for future healthcare solutions.
