Young actor Julia Buencamino allegedly commits suicide >>

A 15-year-old television teen star was found hanged Tuesday night (July 7) inside their house located in an exclusive subdivision in Quezon City, police disclosed.

Reports reaching the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection (QCPD-CIDU) headquarters in Camp Karingal, identified the victim as Julia Louise Buencamino, a native of Laguna, and a resident of Unit of 306 Corinthian Garden Place, Granada St., Brgy. Valencia, Quezon City.

Chief Inspector Rodel Marcelo, CIDU chief, said that based on reports he received, the daughter of veteran actor Anthony Buencamino was found inside the comfort room of her room at about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said that Elsa Orsales, Buencamino family’s house maid, went to the victim’s bedroom to check on her – later finding the young actress hanging on the door of the comfort room with a nylon cord looped around her neck.

Orsales immediately sought the help of the victim’s brother, Gregorio Buencamino, and rushed her to Cardinal Santos Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.

The cause of the alleged suicide is still under investigation.

Anthony, according to reports, has already executed a written waiver manifesting the family’s intention not to pursue the investigation of the case as they fully believed the incident was purely suicide.

Julia Louise is the youngest of four children by couple Anthony “Nonie” Buencamino and his wife Sharmaine, who are both considered big names of Philippine theater for more than two decades already.
