Huawei Collaborates With NAVTTC for Teacher ICT Training Program in China
Huawei Technologies Pakistan (pvt) Ltd collaborated with Pakistan National Vocational & Technical Training Commission and selected 20 outstanding teachers from the Pakistan Vocational & Technical training schools for a one month ICT skills training in Chongqing Industrial Polytechnic College in China.
The participants represent all provinces of Pakistan, while some of them are also heads of institutes.
Mr. Nasir Khan, Executive Director NAVTTC, appreciated the efforts of Huawei in arranging this training, he wished the participants to be worthy ambassadors of Pakistan, utilizing this opportunity to bring back knowledge to their institutions.
For the first time, a Chinese company is inviting teachers for training in the field of IT to polish their knowledge. This is a new model-training program, and Embassy of China will encourage more and more scholarships and such training programs from Chinese companies. Huawei and Navttc have done great work together to make the event a success said Mr. Zhao Lijian, deputy chief of mission from the Chinese Embassy.
Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also attended the ceremony and said that Huawei and Navttc are playing a bigger role in the development of ICT in Pakistan. He encouraged the teachers and wished them success during their time in China.
Mr. Malibing Deputy CEO Huawei was also present at the event. He said that while providing the best technology solutions to customers, Huawei also focuses on technology and skill transfer, the teachers’ training program is a very important part of Huawei’s ICT talent training programs in Pakistan.
The students will leave for China on November 29, 2018 from Islamabad. During their stay, they will learn route control, Border Gateway Protocol, multicast, switching and many other ICT innovations. The course will include Huawei Advanced Management Course, and the development and management innovation of electronic information industry in Southwest China.
The training will conclude with a theoretical test evaluation as a Huawei HCNA Certification Exam will be taken. Participants will be awarded graduation certificates and Huawei HCNA certification after passing the examinations.
Huawei is keen on investing in the education sector of Pakistan through programs like ICT Competition, Seeds for the future and Huawei Authorized Information & Network Academies.
