Telenor Pakistan Headquarters ‘345’ Bags The Prestigious ADA Award
Telenor Pakistan headquarters ‘345’ has won the prestigious ‘ADA Award’ in the ‘Public Amenity Commercial Buildings’ category, adding another accolade to its long and growing list of recognition for its architecture.
The award was received by architects Yawar Jilani & Mahboob Khan of Arcop Associates –the designers of the iconic Telenor Pakistan Campus – at a ceremony attended by the Honorable President of Pakistan Mr. Arif Alvi and Governor Sindh Mr. Imran Ismail.
ADA (Architecture, Design& Art) is a local magazine that has been in publication for over a decade and is affiliated with the World Architecture Festival, World Architecture Community and the Aga Khan Award for Architecture.
The ADA Awards aim to position Pakistan in the global arena with works aligned towards international recognition and in parallel, recognize celebrities of the creative fields that impact lives, inspire generations, and leave a legacy of exceptional works.
Only last month, the state-of-the-art Telenor Pakistan Headquarters ‘345’ made headlines in the global architectural community as it bagged two prestigious awards namely the 2A Continental Architectural Award 2018 in the ‘Commercial – Office & Business – Asia’ category, and the World Architecture Community Award 2018 in the ‘Realised’ category.
345 champions green architecture as it’s built with rammed earth and features its own water conservation system with recycling and rainwater harvesting, a renewable energy mechanism that uses 230 KW of Solar Energy. The design is also highly energy efficient with active chilled beams, LED lights, thermal insulation, and occupancy sensors.
