Maintaining peace, curbing corruption top priorities: Khattak


ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Pervez Khattak has vowed that maintaining peace and elimination of corruption are top priorities of the provincial government.
The government was working diligently to control law and order situation in the province as it had direct bearing on the economy, he added.
Talking to a private news channel, he claimed that people had voted Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), considering its slogan for change, adding that his government would bring changes in the provincial system.

He said that PTI has been opposing drone attacks in tribal areas as these were against the country's sovereignty.
Replying to a question, he said Peshawar is heart of the province and government would make it a model city.
He said he was consulting with the people of KPK to start development schemes in the province, adding the investors would be facilitated.
The Chief Minister claimed that he would bring uniformity in the education system of KPK, adding that transparent accountability would also be ensured.
He stressed the need to provide cheap justice at the doorstep of the people, saying the people should work for country rather than for petty gains.
Replying to another question, he said his family women became member of the Provincial Assembly on merit. APP
