Al-Masfaq, a new Saudi initiative, will provide 37,000 jobs for young Saudis and offer support for small enterprises, chariman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry said on Thursday.

"Our objective is to provide 37,000 jobs for young Saudis and support small enterprises, whether they are startups, businesses facing funding issues or requiring restructuring, or successful operations preparing to expand," Sheikh Saleh Kamel, Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the 14th Jeddah Economic Forum.

The new initiative started by the Jeddah Chamber also aims at increasing investments between organizations of Islamic cooperation and managing business deals across Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries, boosting trade between them.

"We find it strange that information on trade between Islamic countries is very limited and many investors and business owners do not have access to it," expressed Sheikh Saleh Kamel. "There is a need to strengthen ties with the private sector and explore investment opportunities available in the countries of the Islamic world."

According to the chief, the Al—Masfaq initiative would also support the establishment of a recruitment agency that would regulate the labor market and explore job opportunities for Saudi nationals.
