ISLAMABAD, Oct 31 (INP): On invitation from Guangdong Tourism Administration, a two-member Pakistan delegation headed by Ch. Kabir Ahmad Khan, Managing Director PTDC accompanied by Mr. Mukhtar Ali, Manager PTDC, is participating in Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo being held in Ghuangzhou China from 31st October to 2nd November 2014.
Participants from more than 120 countries have established their tourism booths in the expo. The Expo was inaugurated on 31st October Mr. Masood Khalid Ambassador of Pakistan to Peoples Republic of China also attended the inauguration ceremony.
Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo is a valuable cooperation platform organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Provincial Committee to further enhance the multilateral investment and trade cooperation with Southeast Asia and China. Maritime Silk Road Expo will provide an ample opportunity to expand tourism activities / potential to both the courtiers.
Managing Director had a number of meetings with VIP dignitaries and heads of tourism authorities of different countries. He said that visitors expressed their interest in tourist destinations of Pakistan. Participation in this event will help us to counter the negative propaganda against Pakistan abroad. Above 2000 visitors to the exhibition visited Pakistan pavilion on inaugural day there sweets, bangles and mehndi attracted female visitors.
