CHITRAL (Dunya News) – More than 300 houses have demolished while at least 14 bodies have been found so far leaving as many as 11 missing bodies.
As many as 3 lac people are restricted to affected areas as land connections to safer parts are lost. At least 25 mosques, several educational institutions are destroyed. Several connective bridges have not been restored until Saturday.
Land connections of Kalash Valley and Ganche to other parts are yet to be restored. As many as nine hydel power houses have been destroyed.
Otol village has been completely washed away by floods.
However, the locals have started reconstruction of houses. Army’s relief and rescue operations are ongoing for past one week. Reportedly, there still are foreign tourists who are yet to be rescued.
