LAHORE: Parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab lost power when the Tarbela and Mangla power houses tripped on Friday morning.
Consumers in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Gujrat in Punjab are without electricity.
Owing to the widespread power outage official buildings and hospitals are forced to use generators and alternate means.
According to WAPDA, efforts are being made to restore power at the earliest but added that restoration will take between two to four hours.
