KARACHI – Police on Wednesday detained a man who was offender of the mysterious murder case of three children in Karachi’s Orangi Town.
According to local Tv channel, the murder case of siblings Hina and Aqsa, aged 12 and five, and their cousin Ali has finally solved as the servant was found guilty in the crime. The investigation officer said that the murderer worked at the shop of slain children's father.
In a grisly confession made to the police on Wednesday, 18-year old Hasnain accepted that he had killed the three children at a house at sector 10, Orangi Town. “They made fun of me,” alleged murderer claimed. Mominabad police stated that criminal was apprehended from Orangi Town with Rs 3000 in his pocket while the victim families have alleged that the culprit looted four lack rupees from the house and also strangled the children to death.
“An eighteen-year-old Hussain, seems to be mentally ill, was servant at the shop of slain children’s father,” said the investigation officer. During interrogation, Hussain has confessed to have killed the children for teasing and joking at him.
On the other hand, children’s father Sharif-ud-Din said that the suspect was worker at his shop for more than two years. He said that he didn’t expect such kind of brutal act from him as he was like a member of family. Speaking to the media, the family, appealed for justice. “We want justice. He should be hanged to death.”
Sharif-ud-Din told the police that the children were alone in the house when Hasnain strangled them to death, and then stole Rs400,000 from the house, and fled. A relative claimed that Hasnain murdered the girls first, and when Ali arrived minutes later with a box of sweet Jalebis for his sister, he was killed too.
“It is difficult to say anything about the reason for murder yet,” SSP West Azfar Mahesar said. Police has recovered the stolen money. Sharifuddin, the father of the children staged a protest outside the hospital for delay in the postmortem report. The anguished family also beat up the medico legal officer.
