Karachi: Coca-Cola Beverages Pakistan Limited (CCBPL) successfully concluded its 4th Annual Ramadan Food Drive. The campaign celebrated the spirit of giving by assisting the most underserved communities across the country. This year the company with the support of its employees raised PKR 5 million for the distribution of 2000 food packages amongst 10,000 people. In the last 4 years the company in partnership with its employees has contributed over PKR 17 Million for the provision of basic food items in underprivileged areas.
CCBPL Director for Public Affairs and Communications, Mr. Zafar Abbas Jafri said: “Charity begins at home and for this reason every year in Ramadan we motivate our employees to actively take part in this food drive. It is important for us to be there in person; to interact with the people we are serving; not just distributing rations, but building relationships with the communities we operate in. The campaign has always brought home a number of valuable lessons to us here at CCBPL; the act of giving makes us stronger as a team; overcoming our individual differences to serve a greater good. As an organization we are always looking for opportunities to be of service to the community and to help where we are needed the most”
