Sindh Govt Bans #Airlift and #SWVL and Latter Clarifies They Are Not Banned In Karachi
Karachi (WebDesk November 12, 2019) Private online transport company Airlift responded to a notice sent by the Sindh government’s transport department, while provincial adviser Murtaza Wahab denied reports of a ban on the online transport company.
According to Media, the Sindh Transport Department sent a notice to the “Airlift” and “SWVL” companies in Karachi that public transport could not be allowed without a route permit.
The response came from the airlift, in which the company’s director, Meher Haider, said that they will fulfill all the conditions of sindh government.
She said that being a Pakistani company, revenue would not go out in the form of dollars, the company’s massive success would affect the country’s import bill.
On the other hand, Sindh Provincial Adviser Murtaza Wahab denied the news about the ban on ‘SWVL and Airlift’.
Murtaza Wahab said that the fact is that the Sindh government is developing a law through which such companies can be regulated, so it is hoped that Sindh will be the first province where such businesses can be regulated.
