Saudi Gulf Air Will Now Fly To Pakistan As Well!
Karachi (WebDesk) Recently, a transformation plan has been rolled out at SaudiGulf Airlines that involves the beginning of charter flights (for religious purposes) to Iraq and Pakistan. Abdulmohsen Jonaid, the newly appointed CEO of SaudiGulf Airlines, has approved the respective plan. As stated by him, SaudiGulf Airlines would successfully double its fleet by the end of 2020.
The SaudiGulf (based in Dammam) is expected to get new A320 Airbus by April next year; the CEO said while giving an interview.
He further mentioned: “We also want to acquire three A320 or A321 narrow-body aircraft and an A330 wide-body plan on the lease.”
The SaudiGulf Airlines CEO also added that the Gulf charter flights would be put to a good cause, they’ll be used for religious purposes. The currently decided route is from Jeddah to Pakistan. Considering it the first major service of SaudiGulf Airlines for the Umrah pilgrims, it is a great initiative.
This particular airline is also starting charter flights to Iraq, but the announcement of the routes has been delayed because of instability in Iraq at the moment. The operation of SaudiGulf Airlines was started in 2016. It came into operation after the Saudi aviation was liberalized from the state-owned carriers’ monopoly.
