Meezan Bank engages Sehat Kahani, a digital health platform, to provide free online medical consultation to its employees and families
Karachi, 17th July, 2020: Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic bank, has partnered with Sehat Kahani – an e-health services provider offering healthcare through telemedicine solutions to extend medical benefits to its employees and their families. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two parties at Meezan House, Karachi, attended by Mr. Munawar Rizvi - Group Head, General Services & Special Assets Management and Mr. Khalid Zaman Khan - Group Head, Human Resources, Learning & Development from Meezan Bank and Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram - CEO & Co-founder and Dr. Iffat Zafar Aga - COO & Co-founder from Sehat Kahani along with their respective teams.
Under this agreement, Meezan Bank’s employees - both permanent and contractual, will be able to access online consultations with accredited doctors, not only for themselves, but also for their dependents including spouse, children and parents. With a pool of over 1,500 doctors, making it the largest telemedicine doctors’ pool in Pakistan, Sehat Kahani will assist Meezan Bank’s employees in seeking timely medical help without the added stress of physical travel amid the growing needs for social distancing during this Pandemic.
Mr. Munawar Rizvi - Group Head, General Services & Special Assets Management, Meezan Bank while speaking at the occasion, expressed his appreciation for Sehat Kahani for making the provision of quality healthcare services easy and affordable through telemedicine solutions in Pakistan. He said, “We truly believe that this arrangement will provide a growing number of individuals with better access to healthcare services. Meezan Bank has over 800 branches in more than 240 cities across Pakistan and having Sehat Kahani on board will enable them to address any urgent medical needs conveniently and quickly, wherever they are.”
Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram - CEO & Co-founder of Sehat Kahani said, “With this arrangement, we believe, Meezan Bank has become the first bank in the country to collaborate with Sehat Kahani for the provision of e-health services to the families of its employees. This new partnership will allow our online health consultation services to close the healthcare gaps created by the need for social distancing while also addressing under-served areas in remote locations of the country, through 24/7 healthcare access via chat, audio or video consultation.”
