Insaf Students Federation, Pakhtun Students Federation, Watan Pal Students Federation and Islami Jamiat Talba blocked Nowshehra Road for five hours. They burn tyres, shouted slogans against the management of the varsity that had failed to keep law and order situation in the campus.

The VC assured the students that the varsity management would try its best to remove their reservations. The management also suspended an employee, Zubair, who was allegedly involved in the sexual harassment of girls. Moreover, a special committee comprising Dr Jahanzeb, Professor Zahoor Zahid Durrani and professor Ali Shah also has been formed in order to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
Man kills brother: A man with the connivance of his son killed his brother over an old enmity in the limits of Chura police at the Bakhshali bazar on Tuesday. According to the police, Munawar Khan, a resident of Shierabad, along his son Waqar, shot dead his brother, Manawa Khan. Police have registered the case against the accused on the report of deceased’s wife Rahat Begum.
Valuables looted: Unidentified gunmen snatched cash, gold ornaments and other valuables in limits of Chura police station Monday night.
According to the police, unidentified gunmen forced their entry into the house of Rabia Khan in Scarp Colony. Unidentified gunmen took the family members hostage at gunpoint. The robbers decamped with Rs 20,000 cash, 4 tolas of gold ornaments, a rifle, 30 bore pistol, cell-phones and other valuables. Police have registered the case and started investigations.
Four criminals booked: Local police have registered case against four people for allegedly involved in crimes in the limits of City police station.
According to the police, Ikramul Haq, Imran, Gohar Ali and Hamid were allegedly involved in crimes including kidnapping and car lifting in the limits of City police station.
